Founded in Seattle, WA in 2009 by Ms. Anna Ponder, Steppers Unite Inc. has been bringing the joy of dance to the community for over a decade. What began as a passion for healing, movement, and connection has grown into a thriving organization dedicated to teaching Chicago Style Steppin’ and Soul Line Dancing to dancers of all levels.

With a team of three assistant instructors and one lead instructor, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where everyone can learn, grow, and celebrate the art of dance. Although our largest student population is senior citizens, we warmly welcome all ages and all ethnicities. Dance is for everyone, and our classes are designed to bring generations and cultures together through rhythm, movement, and community.

Our students are encouraged to share their talents beyond the classroom by volunteering to perform in parades, festivals, and annual community events. In addition, Steppers Unite Inc. hosts three major events each year, where students showcase their dance skills in front of larger audiences. These opportunities not only highlight their progress but also promote health and wellness through dance.

One of our signature traditions is the annual Dancin’ Into Spring fundraiser, which honors a wounded veteran while raising support for charitable causes. This event reflects our deep commitment to giving back and using dance as a force for healing, unity, and celebration.

Over the years, Steppers Unite Inc. has been honored with numerous awards and proclamations recognizing our commitment to community involvement. These achievements reflect not only our dedication to dance but also our mission to uplift, inspire, and unite people through movement.

At Steppers Unite Inc., dance is more than steps—it’s a way to connect, celebrate culture, and build lasting friendships. We invite you to join us, discover the rhythm, and become part of our vibrant dance family.
